The Ghana TVET Service has moved swiftly to counter growing claims of food shortages in technical and vocational institutions, insisting that feeding programmes remain intact and uninterrupted.
In a firm response, the Service stated that students across all TVET institutions continue to receive meals, while academic work proceeds without disruption.
Officials attribute the stability to recent policy adjustments, particularly the decentralisation of food procurement, which now places responsibility directly in the hands of institutional authorities.
According to the Service, heads of schools are effectively managing supplies, with no official reports pointing to shortages.
The Authority also stressed that it is working closely with the Ministry of Education and relevant agencies to ensure smooth coordination and sustained delivery of services.
While acknowledging that some stakeholders may have concerns, the Service maintained that the situation on the ground does not support claims of crisis.
With nearly 100,000 trainees currently in the system, the Authority says safeguarding student welfare remains a top priority, alongside delivering quality technical education.
