Benjamin Asare headlines 32-man Galaxies squad

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare headlines a 32-man Black Galaxies squad named by head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey for a training camp in Accra.

The camping exercise, which begins on 20 April 2026 at the Erata Hotel, forms part of preparations for upcoming international assignments and a broader effort to track domestic talent.

Asare, currently Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper, is joined by teammate Solomon Agbesi, while Asante Kotoko contribute three players—Patrick Aseidu, Hubert Gyau and Albert Amoah.

Also making the list is Bibiani GoldStars striker Samuel Attah Kumi, the Ghana Premier League’s top scorer with 12 goals, expected to play a key role in attack.

The camp will feature structured training sessions and at least one friendly match as the technical team assesses players.

The Ghana Football Association says the initiative is aimed at building a strong database of home-based players, streamlining selection and strengthening the pathway into the senior national team.
