The National Communications Authority (NCA) has cleared three telecommunications companies to proceed to the next stage of Ghana’s 5G spectrum licensing process.
The qualified applicants are Scancom Plc (MTN Ghana), Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited (Telecel Ghana) and Goal Telecommunications Ltd.
The NCA said the qualification followed assessments of the four applications received before the 5 p.m. deadline on August 27, 2026.
The assessment covered eligibility and technical qualification requirements under the technical and qualification submission stage.
Infrava Ltd was the only applicant that failed to qualify.
The NCA said all applicants had been informed of the outcome, with reasons provided where applicable.
The Authority said only the three qualified applicants would proceed to the next stage of the selection process. Consequently, the price offer submitted by Infrava Ltd will not be opened.
The qualified applicants will be separately notified of the date, time and venue for the opening and ranking of their Best Price Offers.
