Ghanaian hairstylist Chelsea Abigail Owusu Ansah, popularly known as Yoga’s Locks, is set to attempt a new world record by locking more than 35 heads within eight hours.
The record attempt is scheduled for May 1, 2026, at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, where the stylist will aim to surpass her previous achievement of locking 27 heads within the same timeframe.
Ansah gained international recognition after earning a Guinness World Record for her speed and precision in hairstyling, positioning herself as one of Ghana’s standout talents in the beauty industry.
The event is expected to attract a large audience, with members of the public invited to witness the attempt. Corporate institutions have also been encouraged to support the initiative as part of efforts to promote Ghanaian talent on the global stage.
The upcoming challenge is being positioned not only as a personal milestone for the stylist but also as a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the growing influence of Ghana’s beauty and creative arts sector.
