Police declare Arabic teacher Sule Anas wanted for defilement

The Western Regional Police Command has declared one Sule Anas wanted in connection with alleged defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge involving two minors at Fijai Zongo Central near Sekondi.

The suspect, an Arabic teacher, was reportedly engaged by leaders of the Fijai Zongo Central community to teach children Arabic during weekends.

Preliminary police investigations indicate that the suspect allegedly lured the victims into a storeroom within the mosque under the pretext of performing spiritual cleansing rituals, where he is accused of sexually assaulting them.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by the Gender Court in Sekondi on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. The suspect is described as fair in complexion and approximately 5.7 feet tall.

Police intelligence further suggests that Sule Anas may be hiding in either Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.

The command is therefore appealing to the public to provide any credible information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, who is currently on the run.

Persons with relevant information are encouraged to contact the Western Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), the nearest police station, or call 191 or 112 to assist in his arrest.
