‘Move in silence’ — Sarkodie tells fans to keep plans private

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has urged people to exercise discretion about their ambitions, cautioning against making every plan public before it comes to fruition.

In a message shared on social media, the rapper argued that ideas, projects and personal ambitions do not always require public discussion, particularly while they are still taking shape.

“Every idea don’t need an announcement. Every move don’t need a conversation. Every dream don’t need a committee,” Sarkodie wrote.

He said repeatedly announcing plans can expose them to doubt, unsolicited opinions, jealousy and negative energy before there is anything tangible to show.

According to Sarkodie, not everyone who listens to another person’s plans necessarily wants to see them succeed.

“Some people don’t want to see you win. Some people will laugh in your face and secretly hope it never works,” he said.

The rapper also warned that giving too many people access to unfinished ideas could allow them to influence a person’s confidence or even discourage them from pursuing their vision.

His prescription was simple: work quietly and allow the outcome to create the announcement.

“Shut up and work. Move in silence. Make the calls. Build the business. Start the project. Make the money. Change your life,” he said.

Sarkodie further told his followers that they are not obligated to provide others with advance information about their ambitions.

“You don’t owe anybody a preview of what God put in your spirit,” he added.

He concluded his message by drawing a distinction between plans and achievement, urging people to focus less on discussing what they intend to do and more on delivering results.

“Results speak louder than plans ever will,” Sarkodie stated.
