Ministry of Finance relocates to Kanda, begins full operations February 9

The Ministry of Finance has officially relocated its offices from the Ministries enclave in Accra to Kanda, in a move the Ministry says is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving service delivery to the public.

In a press release issued on Friday, February 6, 2026, the Ministry announced that full operations at the new location will commence on Monday, February 9, 2026.

According to the statement, the relocation forms part of broader efforts to strengthen coordination, responsiveness, and efficiency in the execution of the Ministry’s mandate, particularly at a time when public financial management remains a critical pillar of national governance.

“The Ministry of Finance wishes to inform the general public that it has officially relocated its offices to Kanda, Accra,” the release stated.

The Ministry further clarified that the new office facility at Kanda was constructed by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) prior to the assumption of office by the current administration, a point apparently aimed at addressing potential public speculation surrounding the move.

With the relocation now completed, all official correspondence, visits, and enquiries are to be directed to the Ministry’s new premises at Tumu Avenue, Kanda, Accra.

The updated contact details are as follows:

1.Physical Address: Ministry of Finance, Tumu Avenue, Kanda – Accra

2.Digital Address: GV-002-6511

3.Postal Address: P.O. Box MB 40, Ministries, Accra

The Ministry noted that its existing telephone numbers and official email addresses remain unchanged.

The Ministry of Finance reaffirmed its commitment to effective public engagement and improved service delivery, expressing optimism that the new premises would support smoother operations and better coordination with stakeholders.

It also called for the continued cooperation of the public and relevant institutions as it settles into the new location.

The statement was issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Finance and addressed to news editors nationwide.
