Drone operators have been placed on notice at Manhyia Palace, with the palace imposing an immediate restriction on all unauthorised aerial activity within its premises and surrounding areas.
The directive covers drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles and requires operators to obtain explicit clearance before flying within the designated zone.
Manhyia Palace announced the restriction in a notice published on its Facebook page on Saturday, August 15.
Under the new directive, any drone found operating without the required authorisation may be confiscated.
The palace has also warned that individuals who disregard the restriction could be referred for legal action.
The directive effectively places responsibility on drone operators to secure the necessary approval from Manhyia Palace or the relevant authorities before undertaking any aerial operation in the area.
The palace has urged operators and users of unmanned aerial vehicles to comply with the directive, which takes effect immediately.
