Ivorian winger Yan Diomande focused on making the most out of World Cup amid PSG interest
Ivorian winger Yan Diomande has indicated that he is focused on helping the Elephants advance from the Round 32 stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup despite growing transfer interest from Europe’s elite clubs.
The highly-rated youngster has been on the radar of several clubs since last summer. After an exceptional campaign with RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga in the 2025/26 season, he has been linked with possible moves to Liverpool and PSG.
Speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of Ivory Coast’s clash against Norway on Tuesday, Diomande brushed aside the transfer rumours, stressing that he is focused on making the best out of the World Cup.
“I don’t have the internet, Instagram, âTikTok and that kind of thing, so regarding the discussions with âmy club it’s my agent that does that,
“It’s a great chance to play at the World Cup and I want to make the âmost of that. I remain focused on that â and I really want to âenjoy this World Cup as much as possible,” Diomande said.
Diomande is expected to start for Ivory Coast on Tuesday when they face off with Norway in that Round of 32 clash.
