The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) says power supply has been fully restored to all areas affected by a system disturbance on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday, August 21, GRIDCo said restoration efforts began immediately after the disturbance, with its engineers and other power sector technical teams working to restore electricity.
According to the company, power supply to all affected areas had been restored by 12:03 p.m.
GRIDCo thanked the public and other stakeholders for their cooperation and support throughout the restoration process.
The company said it would continue to implement measures aimed at improving the reliability, stability and resilience of Ghana’s transmission network.
GRIDCo also expressed appreciation to the public for its patience and understanding during the restoration exercise.
