The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a warning to the public over a fraudulent recruitment letter currently circulating on social media, describing the document as fake and not authorised by the Service.
In a public notice dated January 23, 2026, GES management clarified that no recruitment exercise has begun, contrary to claims contained in the viral letter.
The statement was signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, on behalf of management.
According to the statement, the document being shared online was not issued by the Service and does not represent its official position on recruitment into the education sector.
“The letter currently in circulation is fake and does not originate from the Ghana Education Service,” the statement stressed.
GES further explained that any legitimate recruitment exercise would be formally announced through its verified communication channels, including its official website and recognised media platforms.
The Service has therefore urged the public, particularly prospective applicants, to disregard any recruitment-related information that does not come directly from GES’s official platforms.
