GCB Bank Managing Director (MD), Farihan Alhassan, has paid a courtesy call on a former MD of the bank, Kofi Agyeman, as part of efforts to engage former leaders and draw on their experience to strengthen the institution’s future.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the two to reflect on the bank’s rich institutional history, exchange perspectives on its evolution, and discuss opportunities ahead for the financial institution.
Mr Alhassan said the engagement formed part of his interactions with former Managing Directors of GCB Bank, underscoring the importance of preserving institutional knowledge and recognizing the contributions of past leaders.
In a Facebook post yesterday, Thursday, August 20, 2026, GCB Bank said the meeting allowed the Managing Director to reconnect with Mr Agyeman and benefit from his experience and perspectives on the bank’s development.
The bank said the engagements with former leaders were intended to help preserve institutional memory and provide valuable insights as GCB continues to build for the future.
“Leadership is not only about looking ahead; it is also about learning from those who helped shape the journey,” the bank said.

It added that drawing on the experience of former leaders remained important to ensuring continuity and strengthening the institution as it responds to emerging opportunities and challenges.
The MD was accompanied by Abraham Yahaya Ferguson.
