The Office of the Member of Parliament for Madina, Dr Francis-Xavier Sosu, says the lawmaker is doing well and has received the necessary medical attention following an incident during a speech at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Dr Sosu reportedly collapsed while addressing students at GIMPA in Accra on Thursday, September 24. Video footage from the event showed him becoming unwell while speaking before people around him rushed to his aid.
In a statement issued later, his office said it had taken note of reports, videos and other content circulating on social media about the incident.
The office thanked constituents, supporters and well-wishers for their concern and urged the public to remain calm and avoid relying on unverified reports or speculation about his condition.
