The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested four students of Ada Senior High Technical School (Ada SHS) after a disturbing viral video surfaced on social media showing a student wielding a cutlass and issuing threats on campus.
The incident, which has sparked concern among education authorities and the public, was brought to the attention of police at about 12:10 a.m. on 22 May 2026 after officers intercepted the footage online.
A police night patrol team was immediately dispatched to the school to restore calm and begin preliminary action.
With the assistance of school authorities, police arrested four individuals identified in the video as Raymond Gyamfi, 18, Oscar Amemoair, 18, Odartey Wilson, 18, and one juvenile suspect.
The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations.
The police have since urged students across the country to resolve disputes through established school disciplinary structures rather than resorting to violence or intimidation.
They also called on parents and school authorities to strengthen supervision, guidance and discipline in schools to maintain safety and order.
The Tema Regional Police Command assured the public that investigations are ongoing and further updates will be communicated in due course.
