The Electoral Commission (EC) has scheduled a rerun of the parliamentary election in the Kpandai Constituency for Tuesday, 30 December 2025, following a directive from the Tamale High Court.
The court, on 24 November 2025, ordered that a fresh election be conducted within 30 days after nullifying the previous results.
Acting on the ruling, the EC confirmed the new date after receiving formal notification of a vacancy from the Clerk to Parliament on 9 December 2025.
In a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, the EC announced that the rerun will feature only the three candidates who contested the 2024 parliamentary poll in the constituency. Their names were not provided in the release.
The Commission urged the public and all stakeholders to take note of the date as preparations intensify for the decisive contest to fill the vacant seat before the end of the year.
