A 62-year-old woman has been killed in a violent incident at Twifo Denyase Camp in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region.
The deceased was allegedly attacked by her 30-year-old co-tenant, identified as Hormeku Agbemor. Reports from the community indicate that the suspect also assaulted the woman’s daughter, who is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
Residents say the incident occurred without any known provocation. Some neighbours also claimed that the suspect had displayed unusual behaviour in the days leading up to the attack.
In the aftermath of the incident, irate youth in the area reportedly attacked and lynched the suspect.
The Police are yet to issue an official statement detailing the circumstances surrounding the killings or providing updates on the condition of the injured victim.
