World Cup 2026: Colombia will need a bit of luck to beat Ghana â?? Nestor Lorenzo
Colombia head coach Nestor Lorenzo has argued that playing well may not be enough to beat Ghana on Saturday in their Round of 32 clash at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The coach and his side are set to lock horns with the Black Stars in a crucial clash this weekend for a place in the Round of 16.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Nestor Lorenzo said that, in a game where he is unsure how Ghana will set up, Colombia will need a bit of luck to emerge victorious.
“I don’t know if Ghana will present a low block. Maybe they want to surprise us or come out and attack with everything.
“The feeling is that the competition is incredibly âeven and that it is there for anyone to win. Besides playing âwell, you need that little bit of effectiveness and luck,” Lorenzo said in his pre-match interview.
The Round of 32 clash between Colombia and Ghana is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, and will kick off at 01:30GMT.
