Popular Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has died, throwing the country’s entertainment industry into mourning.
The sad news was confirmed by her husband, musician Choirmaster, in an emotional Instagram post shared on Sunday, 24 May.
Choirmaster, known in private life as Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah, expressed deep grief over the passing of his wife, describing her as the source of his happiness and strength.
“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife, Beverly Afaglo,” he wrote.
According to the musician, the actress died just days before her birthday celebration.
“It would have been just about four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you,” he added.
Choirmaster further reflected on the memories they shared together and pledged to continue the plans and projects they had started as a family.
“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. I promise to take care of and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever,” he stated.
News of Beverly Afaglo’s death has since sparked an outpouring of condolences on social media from fans, colleagues and industry players.
Details surrounding the cause of death have not yet been made public.
