Kim Kardashian is opening up about how she manages life with four children.
In a new interview with The Sunday Times Style, the SKIMS founder revealed that she has five nannies helping care for North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, whom she shares with ex-husband Ye.
Only one nanny is on duty at a time, with the other four rotating in and out.
Even with the extra help, there are parts of her children’s daily routine that Kim handles herself. She takes them to school every day, picks them up, and sits down with them for dinner each evening.
“I think I am an intermediate-strict parent,” Kardashian said. “I’m extremely patient and loving. I still have a kid sleep in my bed when they want. I read books with the kids every night.”
Kardashian said she is conscious of raising children who have grown up with considerable privilege. It is something her late father, Robert Kardashian, talked to her about while she was growing up.
“My dad would always say to me, ‘You see this big life, you’re going to have to work extra hard to maintain the life that you have seen, because this isn’t your life’.”
She now has similar conversations with her own children.
“It’s something I talk to my kids about constantly, about hard work, never taking things for granted, always having gratitude,” Kardashian said.
“I lead by example. I’m really open with them about my work, all of the hard work that I put into my law studies, and they’re proud. I think that you can have a big life and still have that spirit in you. But it is more challenging,” she continued.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Kardashian spoke about staying single for five years after her split from Ye.
“I was really single for five years. And that felt great,” the 45-year-old said. “I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush. Like, I really didn’t feel empty.”
“I felt like I needed my time. I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open up. I really wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favour when you just allow it to.”
