LG Introduces new home appliance solutions for Ghanaian consumers

LG Electronics (LG) has expanded its home appliance portfolio in Ghana with a new range of refrigeration, laundry and cooking solutions aimed at meeting the changing needs of households and businesses.

The new lineup, unveiled in Accra on Saturday, September 26, 2026, includes French Door Refrigerators, Bottom Freezer Refrigerators, Top Freezer Refrigerators, Chest Freezers, a Twin Tub Washing Machine and the NeoChef Microwave Oven.

The products are designed to combine convenience, energy efficiency, durability and practical functionality, as consumers increasingly seek appliances that can help preserve food, simplify household chores and deliver value for money.

Speaking at the launch, a representative of Giant Tek Limited, Ghana, Hari Elluru, said the objective was not simply to introduce new products but to provide solutions that improve consumers’ everyday lives.

“At LG, our goal is not simply to introduce new products but to create solutions that genuinely improve everyday life,” he said.

He said the new home appliance lineup reflected LG’s commitment to practical, accessible and relevant innovation for Ghanaian consumers.

“Whether it is keeping food fresher for longer, making laundry easier or helping families prepare meals more conveniently, these products have been developed to deliver meaningful value every day,” he added.

Mr. Elluru said LG remained a leading global brand with a strong presence in Ghana, particularly in the premium segment, where he said the company enjoyed strong recognition among consumers and extensive market coverage.

He said Ghana’s humid climate and high temperatures had also informed the design and development of LG products for the market.

“That is why we have designed our products with the Ghanaian environment and climatic conditions in mind,” he said, adding that the products were tailored to perform effectively under local conditions.

According to him, technology, product quality, features and value for money were increasingly important factors influencing consumer choices.

He said LG would continue to provide innovative products and solutions designed to meet the specific needs of Ghanaian consumers.

For his part, the Regional General Manager of Giant Tek Limited, Lerry Wang, said Ghana remained an important market for LG and one of its key markets in West Africa.

He said the launch formed part of the company’s long-term commitment to the Ghanaian market and its efforts to provide consumers with high-quality and affordable products.

Mr. Wang said LG also wanted its dealers and business partners to have a better understanding of its products, their features and benefits so they could effectively communicate the value of the products to consumers.

He described LG as an internationally recognised Korean brand that had operated in Africa, including Ghana, for several decades.

“For many years, LG has represented quality, innovation and a high standard of living. That is why people around the world remember the LG brand and its famous philosophy, ‘Life’s Good,’” he said.

He noted that consumer needs and expectations had changed over time, requiring the company to continuously evolve its products and services.

He said LG was therefore seeking to explore more opportunities in Ghana while offering consumers a wider range of choices.

Mr. Wang said the company was committed to strengthening its partnerships with dealers and business partners while introducing products that responded to changing consumer needs.

The Master Trainer and Marketing Specialist at LG Electronics, Olugbenga Ogunbayo, said the new products combined modern design with practical functionality, with quality remaining a fundamental principle of the company.

He said the products had undergone rigorous testing processes to ensure that they met the required quality standards.

Mr. Ogunbayo said LG had also focused on affordability and practicality to make the products accessible to Ghanaian consumers.

He said the appliances were designed to support food preservation, improve laundry efficiency and address a range of everyday household needs.

According to him, the new products offered a combination of features, ease of use and technological innovations aimed at improving energy efficiency.

He said the availability of different capacities would also give consumers greater flexibility to select appliances based on their individual needs.

“Our focus is therefore not only on modern design, but also on quality, convenience, energy efficiency, affordability and practicality,” he said.

He added that LG wanted to provide products that made everyday life easier while delivering value to consumers.

Mr. Wang said the company would continue to introduce technologies that responded to changing consumer expectations.

“Consumer expectations are constantly changing, and innovation remains at the heart of how we respond,” he said.

“We will continue to introduce technologies that not only meet the needs of today but help shape a better and more convenient future for our customers. This is how we bring our ‘Life’s Good’ philosophy to life.”

Leading the new lineup is LG’s expanded refrigeration range, which is designed to provide food preservation, flexible storage and dependable cooling performance.

The French Door Refrigerators, including models GCFB41FPLAM and GCFB50FPLAM, combine spacious storage capacity with a premium design and features aimed at supporting food organisation and freshness.

The Bottom Freezer Refrigerator, GCFB276PQCF, provides convenient access to fresh food while optimising frozen-food storage, while the Top Freezer Refrigerator, GCFB195PQCF, is designed to provide reliable cooling performance for households seeking efficiency and value.

LG has also introduced a new range of Chest Freezers targeted at households, retailers, restaurants, entrepreneurs and other users requiring additional freezing and storage capacity.

The Chest Freezer range is available in different sizes to cater for both domestic and commercial needs.

The new LG Twin Tub Washing Machine, P800R3AGNC, has also been added to the company’s portfolio, with the company describing it as a practical solution for consumers seeking durability, ease of use and efficient laundry performance.

The appliance is designed to help households manage their laundry more conveniently while providing reliable performance for everyday use.

LG has also introduced the NeoChef Microwave Oven, MH8265CIS, which is designed to make meal preparation faster and more convenient.

The microwave features intuitive operation and precise cooking performance to help consumers prepare a variety of meals while maintaining consistent cooking results.

The new home appliance lineup is available through authorised LG distributors and retail partners across Ghana.
