With Self KYC, a choice of eSIM or physical SIM, and bundles built around transparent usage, cloud services, BNPL and LebaraPlay, Lebara sets a new standard for affordable, reliable connectivity in Nigeria.
Lebara Nigeria’s mobile network is now commercially live! opening service to its first wave of customers nationwide after months of anticipation since the digital-first Tier 5 Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) began reserving numbers for prospective subscribers. The go-live delivers on a promise the company made when it entered the Nigerian market: affordable, reliable, and quality mobile connectivity, available nationwide from day one.
The launch introduces what Lebara Nigeria says is a first for the country’s telecoms industry: fully self-service onboarding. New customers can now complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) verification from home, using the My LebaraNG app in 3 simple steps (Scan, Snap, Connect) without a single trip to a store. Those who prefer an in-person experience can visit any Slot store nationwide, where Lebara Nigeria agents are on hand to help them get connected.
Customers can also choose how they connect, opting for a physical SIM or an eSIM, and select from a range of bundles the company says are designed around how people actually use their phones today: transparent usage tracking with no hidden charges, built-in cloud storage, Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options for available devices, and access to LebaraPlay, Lebara’s mobile-first entertainment platform.
Nigerians who reserved a personalized number during Lebara Nigeria’s pre-launch phase are among the first to benefit. The company confirmed that every reserved number is now active and ready to be claimed, with reservation holders able to complete activation directly from the My LebaraNG app or at any Slot store nationwide, ahead of the wider public rollout.
To get started, customers can download the My LebaraNG app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or visit www.lebara.ng.
Lebara Nigeria extended its appreciation to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for its continued regulatory support, and to its network host, agents and partners, whose collaboration it said was instrumental in bringing the launch to Nigerians nationwide.
