A finance firm has opened a new office to offer cross-border payment services to importers and traders.
The firm, known as Raiz Finance, is Africa’s trade payment infrastructure company. Its new office is located at ASPMDA in the Lagos Trade Fair Complex along Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
ASPMDA, an acronym for Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association, is a significant organization serving as a major hub for the automotive spare parts trade in Nigeria.
By locating its office in this trade hub, Raiz Finance has brought its cross-border payment services directly to the importers and traders who rely on them daily.
The new office, located at Zone DR1, Nnewi Building, ASPMDA Trade Fair Complex, complements Raiz Finance’s main office at 13, Thorburn Street, Yaba, and reflects the company’s commitment to being physically present within the trading communities it serves.
Traders and importers from ASPMDA and other markets and trade fairs across Lagos are welcome to walk in for account support, payment guidance, and onboarding, rather than relying solely on remote channels.
Raiz Finance has already earned the trust of a wide base of Nigerian importers and traders who use its platform to pay suppliers abroad quickly, transparently, and without the friction traditionally associated with cross-border trade payments.
The ASPMDA office builds on that track record, putting the company’s support system within reach of one of Lagos’s busiest trading hubs.
To mark the opening, Raiz Finance will host a market activation at ASPMDA in early September, bringing the team on-site to meet traders, answer questions, and demonstrate the platform in person.
Traders and importers from ASPMDA and other markets and trade fairs are welcome to attend. Further details on the activation will be shared ahead of the event.
For Raiz Finance, the ASPMDA office is more than proximity; it’s a shift in how the company sees its role in the trading process. Rather than stepping in only when a payment needs to be made, the team wants to be present with traders from the earliest stages of a deal, sourcing a vendor, negotiating terms, right through to clearing goods, so that support is available at every point where things can go wrong.
Segun Oyedele, chief executive officer, Raiz Finance, explained that they are not just a payment system, but also a boosting trade infrastructure for cross-border payments.
“We believe you can’t truly serve people you don’t understand. At Raiz Finance, our work with traders at ASPMDA goes beyond payments. We wanted a way to understand their daily struggles and experiences, not just process their transactions.
Oyedele said they see themselves as partners in the traders’ success, not vendors. “That’s why we’re establishing a presence right in the heart of the market, so we can be there with our customers from the moment they start searching for a vendor to the moment they clear their goods,” he said.
