Colleagues enjoyed an afternoon of friendly competition as Ultra Gear and APE Pumps faced off in a soccer match at the Springs Old Boys Sports Grounds on August 28.
The game ended in a 3-1 victory for Ultra Gear after two 35-minute halves. Both teams remained in celebratory spirits after the match.
APE coach Karabo Serogole said they enjoyed the game despite their loss.
He noted that it was not an intense game and that while they played well, they made a few mistakes that they would try to correct in their next match. He added that the team made tactical strategies, but overall the plan was to have fun.
Serogole spoke about the importance of colleagues developing friendships outside work, noting that playing soccer together helps create a bond and brotherhood, allowing colleagues to know each other better because they spend 80% of their time at the company.
