Chief of Staff, Dr Julius Debrah, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, led a government delegation to pay a condolence visit to the family of Deputy Chief of Staff, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, following the death of her brother, Dr Isaac Atteh Bampoe-Addo.
Dr Bampoe-Addo, 59, a long-serving Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) and Chairman of the Forum for Public Sector Associations and Unions, died on Friday, August 21, 2026, after a brief illness.
Dr Debrah was accompanied by members of the government delegation, including the Legal Counsel to the President, Marietta Brew.
The delegation expressed its condolences to Nana Oye Bampoe Addo and other members of the bereaved family, offering words of comfort and support as they come to terms with their loss.

Dr Bampoe-Addo was a prominent figure in Ghana’s labour community and was noted for his advocacy for the rights and welfare of public sector workers, particularly issues relating to their conditions of service.
In his capacity as Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG and Chairman of the Forum for Public Sector Associations and Unions, he played a key role in negotiations between organised labour and the government on matters affecting public sector employees.

His death has therefore been regarded as a significant loss to Ghana’s labour movement and the wider public service.
The condolence visit by Dr Debrah and the government delegation underscored the government’s solidarity with the bereaved family at a time of grief.

The delegation signed a book of condolence and prayed for strength, comfort and peace for the family as they mourn the passing of Dr Bampoe-Addo.
