Ghana is set to deepen its engagement with international investors through a new global campaign to showcase investment opportunities across 12 priority sectors of the economy.
The initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) and Oxford Business Group (OBG) in Accra to develop and distribute a series of Global Platform videos profiling Ghana’s investment landscape.
The campaign will feature President John Dramani Mahama alongside senior public- and private-sector leaders, who will provide insights into Ghana’s economic direction, investment priorities and opportunities available to global businesses.
The videos will focus on key sectors, including agriculture, financial services, information and communications technology (ICT), energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, tourism, mining, transport, education, utilities and entrepreneurship.
The initiative, being developed under the patronage of President Mahama, is expected to provide international investors and business decision-makers with a clearer understanding of Ghana’s economic outlook and the sectors identified as critical to future growth.
The series will culminate in a documentary that brings together perspectives from government officials, sector leaders, and private-sector stakeholders on developments in the Ghanaian economy.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of GIPA, Simon Madjie, said the collaboration would enable Ghana to communicate its investment proposition more effectively to international audiences.

“Ghana has opportunities across a wide range of sectors, and these must be communicated clearly to investors and business leaders internationally,” he said.
“Through this series of Global Platform videos, we will highlight the country’s investment priorities, the work of its institutions and the sectors that can support future growth.”
OBG’s Regional Director for West Africa, Ramona Tarta, said the initiative would build on the organization’s longstanding research presence in Ghana.
“OBG has covered Ghana’s economy for more than a decade, and this collaboration with GIPA builds on that experience,” she said.
According to her, the Global Platform videos would bring together insights from public- and private-sector leaders to help international audiences understand developments and opportunities shaping Ghana’s investment environment.
The content will be distributed through OBG’s research platform and international financial and media-information networks, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Dow Jones Factiva, S&P Capital IQ and LexisNexis.
The documentary is expected to provide a consolidated overview of the themes explored throughout the video series and support GIPA’s engagement with international investors, institutions and business partners.
The agreement builds on the relationship between OBG and GIPA, with OBG having maintained a presence in Ghana since 2011, producing economic analysis and conducting interviews with government officials, business leaders, and sector specialists.
GIPA, formerly known as the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), was reconstituted under the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority Act, 2026 (Act 1173).
OBG is a global research and advisory company with a presence in more than 30 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

Through its economic reports, CEO surveys, events and conferences, Global Platform video interviews, The Report publications, and advisory services, OBG provides analysis of macroeconomic and sector-level developments to support investment and business decisions.
The Ghana campaign is therefore expected to strengthen the country’s visibility among international investors while positioning its priority sectors and economic opportunities on a wider global platform.
