The second edition of the Channel One TV/Citi FM Northern Business Fair ended at the Jubilee Park in Tamale, with exhibitors leaving with more than just sales, they are taking home new connections, wider market exposure and stronger prospects for business growth.
The two-day event brought together entrepreneurs, businesses and innovators from Northern Ghana and beyond, creating a vibrant marketplace where exhibitors showcased their products, services and ideas while engaging customers, investors and potential partners.
For many participants, the fair became a launchpad for new opportunities. Several exhibitors described the experience as rewarding, highlighting increased sales, improved brand recognition and the chance to connect with customers they would otherwise have struggled to reach.
Saudatu Mohammed of Zaaki Shoes said the platform had helped transform visibility for her brand by introducing her products to a wider audience.
She explained that the fair created opportunities to meet new customers and promote her business beyond its usual reach.

According to her, the exposure gained from participating would contribute significantly to the continued growth of the brand.
She described the initiative as an important platform for promoting local businesses, adding that events of this nature are critical to the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Northern Ghana.
“We’ve made good sales and, more importantly, gained new customers. Many people who visited our stand had never heard about our business before, but they have now taken our contacts and expressed interest in buying from us again,” she said.
Another exhibitor said the fair provided an opportunity to showcase innovative products to a wider audience while creating new business relationships that could translate into long-term partnerships.

The exhibitors commended the organisers for creating a platform that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation and expressed hope that future editions of the fair would attract even more businesses and patrons.
For Patrons at the 2026 Northern Business Fair, they hailed the event as a major platform for promoting Made-in-Ghana products, supporting local entrepreneurs and expanding business opportunities in Northern Ghana.
After sampling and purchasing a variety of products ranging from processed foods and beverages to fashion, cosmetics and other locally manufactured items.

Many patrons said they were impressed by the quality, packaging and affordability of the products on display, noting that buying directly from producers gave them confidence in the authenticity of the goods while supporting local businesses.
Dr. Ivy Tana said the fair had exposed her to the rich culture and creativity of the region.
“I have seen a lot of things that are reflective of the culture here, so I am still going around to make my decision so I do not spend all my money here,” she said.

Another patron praised the diversity of products exhibited and called for the fair to become a regular feature.
“Coming here, we have had fun. There are a lot of exhibitions featuring products made in Tamale, which I am very proud of. I wish this will continue,” the patron said.
A third visitor said the event had inspired the trip to the venue after seeing it advertised on television.

“I heard about this programme on Channel One News at 8:00 p.m., and so we decided to have a look at what is going on. So far, we like the fair. I am glad it is happening here in Tamale because everything happens in Accra,” the patron said.
Visitors also described the fair as an important opportunity for start-ups and small businesses to showcase their products, attract new customers and build partnerships that could help them expand beyond the Northern Region.
They further encouraged Ghanaians to support locally made products, arguing that increased patronage would strengthen local industries, create jobs and contribute to national economic growth.
