President John Dramani Mahama has held discussions with a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as Ghana seeks to deepen economic cooperation and attract increased investment into strategic sectors.
The delegation, led by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with the President to explore opportunities for expanding collaboration between the two countries.
Key among the discussions was the potential for increased UAE investment in Ghana’s energy sector, as both sides looked at ways to strengthen existing partnerships and create new areas of cooperation.
The engagement forms part of efforts by Ghana to build stronger international partnerships aimed at supporting economic growth, infrastructure development and investment mobilisation.

The meeting also reaffirmed the longstanding diplomatic and economic relationship between Ghana and the UAE, with both countries expressing interest in expanding cooperation beyond existing areas.
The visit by the UAE delegation highlights growing interest in Ghana’s investment opportunities as the government continues to position the country as an attractive destination for foreign capital.
