President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his administration’s determination to deepen collaboration with the private sector as part of efforts to accelerate Ghana’s economic transformation and create sustainable jobs for citizens.
Speaking at the 10th Ghana CEO Summit in Accra, President Mahama assured business leaders, investors and policymakers that his government remains committed to building a favourable business environment capable of stimulating growth across key sectors of the economy.
According to the President, economic growth must go beyond impressive macroeconomic figures and translate into real improvements in the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
He stressed that government policies would focus on ensuring that businesses flourish because national prosperity is closely tied to the success of the private sector.
“When businesses thrive, government succeeds and the nation prospers,” President Mahama stated, while calling for stronger partnerships between the state and the business community.

The President noted that meaningful public-private collaboration remains critical to tackling unemployment, increasing productivity and positioning Ghana as a competitive investment destination within Africa.
His remarks formed part of broader discussions at the summit focused on economic growth, industrialisation, investment opportunities and private sector-led development.
In recognition of his commitment to strengthening cooperation between government and industry players, President Mahama was appointed Patron of the Ghana CEO Summit.

The event brought together top business executives, policymakers and industry leaders from across the country.
Among the high-profile personalities present were Presidential Advisor and Aide Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, Chief Executive Officer of Telecel Ghana Patricia Obo-Nai, and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Chief Executives Network, Ernest De-Graft Egyir.
The summit also served as a platform for dialogue on strategies aimed at boosting investor confidence, strengthening economic resilience and enhancing Ghana’s long-term development agenda.

President Mahama’s participation comes amid increasing calls from the business community for stronger policy consistency, improved access to capital and reforms aimed at supporting local enterprises and attracting foreign direct investment.
