The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has held discussions with a delegation from AlphaVecta Technologies Limited on potential collaboration towards the One Vecta Summit 2026.

The delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer Carlos Amoako, met the Minister to explore partnership opportunities as well as a formal request for him to serve as Chair and Continental Patron of the summit, which is scheduled for September 2026 in Accra.

Mr George reaffirmed government’s commitment to advancing artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, highlighting ongoing efforts to develop a US$250 million AI compute infrastructure intended to serve Ghana and the wider sub-region.

He also pointed to Ghana’s expanding role in tech diplomacy, noting engagements with countries such as Zambia and Malawi aimed at exporting digital solutions, including digital identity systems.

The Minister welcomed the proposal and expressed readiness for further collaboration, directing that discussions be refined through the Ministry’s technical teams in line with national priorities such as health, education, financial inclusion, e-governance and digital architecture.

Mr Amoako, who is Convener of the One Vecta AI Summit, described the initiative as an evolution of the Pan African AI Summit 2025, positioning it as a leading platform for practical artificial intelligence and digital transformation discussions on the continent.

He said the summit will bring together ministers, regulators, industry leaders and innovators to advance actionable outcomes in AI adoption, including policy frameworks, implementation strategies and investment pathways.

According to him, the focus is to move beyond dialogue into execution, in line with Africa’s broader ambition to strengthen its digital transformation agenda.

Mr Amoako further noted that the One Vecta Summit 2026 is expected to position Accra as a key continental hub for emerging technologies, while fostering investment, partnerships and cross-border collaboration to accelerate Africa’s AI readiness and innovation ecosystem.
