Springs Mall management recently held a meeting with the Springs Taxi Association and taxi marshals.
This follows complaints by mall patrons on social media about taxis stopping at the entrance to the taxi rank, which is the mall’s entrance two.
The mall said it agreed with the taxi association to work together to address the problem, with taxi marshals set to monitor the entrance area.
“The association also clarified that the taxis involved are from outside ranks,” explained Springs Mall.
The mall shared that during the meeting, the importance of complying with the mall’s regulations and general traffic laws was highlighted, while a request was made for the council to install “No Stop” signs and for the EMPD to enforce the law.
