The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced the temporary closure of the VVIP Lounge at the Kotoka International Airport to allow for scheduled renovation works.
In a statement issued in Accra on April 3, 2026, the Ministry said the closure takes effect from Friday, April 3, and is expected to last until Friday, April 10, 2026.
The renovation exercise is aimed at enhancing safety, comfort and the overall functionality of the facility, particularly for high-level dignitaries and official guests who use the lounge.
The Ministry noted that the upgrade forms part of broader efforts to modernise key national infrastructure and improve service delivery.
It apologised for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause to accredited stakeholders and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient and high-quality public service.
