President John Dramani Mahama has called for a coordinated African response to a rapidly changing global order, highlighting the need for decisive action in the face of fractured supply chains, cautious global finance, and fast-moving technology.
Speaking at the Accra Reset – Addis Reckoning event in Addis Ababa, Mahama described these developments as “tectonic shifts” reshaping the international landscape.
He traced the initiative from the Health Sovereignty Summit in Accra, through discussions at the United Nations General Assembly and the World Economic Forum in Davos, to its current phase in Addis Ababa, noting that Africa must move from conversation to practical action.

Mahama concluded that the continent’s long-standing frustrations are now translating into determination, driving innovative thinking and positioning Africa to play a stronger, more decisive role in global affairs.
