Kwakye Ofosu donates 10,000 furniture pieces to senior high schools in constituency

The Minister for Government Communications and Member of Parliament for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has donated 10,000 pieces of furniture to senior high schools in his constituency to address persistent shortages affecting teaching and learning.

The donation, shared on Facebook on Sunday, February 1, was delivered on Monday afternoon and comprised 5,000 tables and 5,000 chairs, distributed across all five public senior high schools in the constituency.

The beneficiary schools include Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion School, Moree Senior High School, Asuantsi Technical Institute, Abakrampa Senior High School, and Aburaman Senior High School.

“This intervention has all but wiped out the acute deficit in desks and chairs in the schools,” Mr Kwakye Ofosu said, noting that the shortage had forced some students to share furniture or attend lessons without adequate seating for years.

The Minister added that the provision of the furniture is expected to improve the learning environment and enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning across the schools.
